Binge drinking and students PDF Print E-mail
Alcoholism can begin in college without the person even knowing what a dangerous path they may be on.  Freshmen are known for binge drinking with about 40 percent of them doing it.  They will consume five or more drinks in one sitting.  It has been found that male students will go far beyond that with consuming 10 to 15 drinks or even more in one setting.  It is about 20 percent of the male student population that will go beyond binge drinking and are putting themselves in serious danger of becoming an alcoholic.  Infact any student that dabbles in drinking alcohol may be putting themselves at risk of becoming an alcoholic.  Alcohol addiction is a serious matter and treatment for alcoholism does offer new hope for someone to be able to return to a normal life.
